The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan V. Lakomov delivered a speech; he briefly outlined the main achievements and perspectives of bilateral relations and thanked the Pakistani side for special attitude and understanding of the Ukrainian situation. In his speech, the honorable guest H.E. mister Sayed Fahar Imam, one of the leading politicians in Pakistan, noted the friendly and vibrant nature of current bilateral Ukrainian-Pakistani relations, actively developing, especially in the trade and economic sphere and military-technical cooperation. He also stressed the proper preconditions for further development of political dialogue and mutually beneficial bilateral collaboration in all areas.

The reception hosted more than 600 guests, including heads of diplomatic missions of EU and US, representatives of the Pakistani government, parliament, leading politicians and businessmen, friends of Ukraine. The guests were offered illustrated information materials about Ukraine. The event is widely covered in electronic and print media, social networks. Leading television channels have included related information of the event in their news releases.
